My life has been shaped by one of the most earthy and tangible things around us- the muddy clay that we daily walk, eat, sleep, and live on. I started making pottery during middle and high school and have continued to this day. This summer, I started Tennessee Pottery Company. Tennesee Pottery Company is meant to occupy the space between the ceramics tradition of the Mississippi Delta and that of Appalachia, traditions and places in which I am deeply rooted.
